Starcraft II Tournament

WHEN:  February 26th 1pm – completed.  Check-in starts at 11am Tournament begins at 1pm

Registration

Registration fees are $10 per player with $8 going into the prize pot and $2 going to the venue.  Payouts are less than 10 players 70/30 if greater than 10+ players 65/25/10.  Registration officially opens January 8^th instore and January 15^th online.  Registration will be limited to 24 players.  Players can register using the Gamebreakerz store website using Visa, MC, or Paypal.  Please note that a fee of $2 per transaction will be added for all players who register using paypal.  We are asking for a minimum of 6 registered players in order to host this tournament.  The cutoff for early registration officially ends on February 19^th.  Any players who register after February 19^th will have to pay an additional $3 fee which will be added directly to the prize pool.

Gameplay

1. No Pausing a Game without permission.  If an issue arises that requires a Pause, Players should contact their Referee immediately.  Referees may approve or deny a Player’s request to Pause the Game.  Pausing a Game without permission will result in a Warning.  If a Player receives a 2nd Warning they will Forfeit their current Game (See Gameplay Rule #17).
2. Players may not look at an opposing Player’s Monitor or projected screen.
3. Players may not chat in-game unless they are engaging in pre-game sportsmanship or surrendering the Game.
4. Players must disable Toast Notifications in the Battle.net options.
5. Players must set their status to Busy.
6. Breaking any of Gameplay Rules #2-5 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
7. Any sign of cheating may result in a Forfeit of the Game, disqualification from the Event, and ejection from the venue.
8. The Map for Game 1 of each Match will be selected by Gamebreakerz Staff and announced prior to the Event.
9. Prior to the start of a Best of 3 Game Match and the Blind Pick of Races, each Player may select one Map, from the list of Maps, that can’t be chosen for Games 2-3.  The lower seeded Player will be given the opportunity to select a Map first.  The higher seeded Player will then be given the opportunity to select a Map.
10. The loser of a Game must select the Map for the next Game.
11. No Map may be played more than once in the same Best of 3 Game Match, Best of 7 Game Match, or in the Finals.
12. Referees will conduct a Blind Pick of Races for Game 1 of a Match.
13. The loser of a Game may select a different Race for the next Game.
14. Players who quit out of a Game before it has ended, without permission, will lose the Game.
15. Players who are disqualified prior to the start of a Game will not be allowed to play in the Game.  Players who are disqualified during a Game must quit out of the Game.
16. The higher seeded Player must host all Games in a Match.  However, if a Match is broadcast, an observer will host all Games in the Match.
17. Only GBZ Staff members may connect to the server as an observer.  Inviting someone to observe a Match without permission will result in a Warning.  If a Player receives a 2nd Warning they will Forfeit their current Game (See Gameplay Rule #2).
18. If a Player loses their connection to the Host during a Game, the Game must be replayed.
19. If an observer loses their connection to the Game, but both Players remain in the Game, the Game must continue.
20. The higher seeded Player must play as the Red team and the lower seeded Player must play as the Blue team.
21. If all Minerals on the Map have been consumed and no Units or Structures have been killed for 5 minutes, the Game will be replayed.
