The SeattleVersus Project

For a while now we have been hinting about a project that we are working on here at GBZ called SeattleVersus.  Well here is a sneak peek at what we are working on.  SV will be an informative , community driven site,  dedicated to news and video game events in the Seattle area.  Kind of a one-stop shop where you can chat with fellow gamers and share everything from gamertags, to playing in casual or competitive tournaments.  This site will not just be about GBZ, but we plan on providing information on just about every gaming event going on in your area.  So whether you play First Person Shooters, Fighting Games, Strategy Games, as long as it is on a console or PC our goal is to promote events, grow , and strengthen the gaming community here in Seattle.  SeattleVersus.com is coming soon and will be live on January 22nd.

With that said there is a long awaited announcement that has long been overdue as it pertains to the EOS Lan Party.  In celebration of the launch of this new site we are planning a major event taking place on September 28-30 called simply SV I (SeattleVersus 1).  SV1 will be our annual event that will be taking the place of our End of Summer Lan that we usually have each year at Gamebreakerz.  SV I will be held in the Lake Washington Ballroom at the Bellevue Red Lion located at 11211 Main Street. Here’s what you can expect from this 3 day event.

Planned Game Lineup -Subject to change
League of Legends 5v5 Tournament
Dota 2 5v5 Tournament (Release Pending)
Counter-Strike Global Offensive 5v5 Tournament (Release Pending)
Starcraft 2 1v1 Tournament
Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Tournament
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Tournament
King of Fighters XIII Tournament
SoulCaliber V Tournament
Street Fighter x Tekken Tournament

In addition to the gaming there will be Prizes, Prizes, Prizes and more Prizes to be given away from some of the biggest names in the business.  Unlike previous years raffle tickes will be made available to the participants and spectators and extra tickets can be purchased with proceeds raised from the raffle going to benifit charity.  For those of you who can not make it to SV I there will be live streaming of the event broadcast for each day.

We are almost 4 months into finalizing the planning of this event so hopefully it was well worth the delay.  We will provide more news as we finalize all of the details so in the meantime keep your skills sharp and find some teammates because there is work to be done.
