Gamebreakerz 5v5 Double Elimination Tournament – LAN Event

Early Registration Period: Early Registration will begin on January 8th and end on February 18th.  Entry fees can be paid directly through the Gamebreakerz.com website using Visa, MC, or Paypal.  Please note that a transaction fee of $4 will be added for all payments using Paypal.  Registrations will be limited to a minimum of 4 teams and a maximum of 10 teams.  Team signups will be posted on the Gamebreakerz Facebook Page. Check-ins for the tournament will start at noon on the 25th and the tournament will start promptly at 4PM.  If Gamebreakerz fails to reach the 4 team minimum then all payments will be refunded in full.

Late Registrations:  Any team that registers after the February 18th deadline will be subject to a penalty of $25 which will be added directly into the prize pot.

Setup: Gamebreakerz will be able to provide  up to 14 computers for players to use.   In an effort to move this tournament along smoothly teams are also allowed to bring their own setups. *BYOC: Entire team must BYOC which would include Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Headset.
Tournament Fee & Prize Structure: The fee is $75 per team ($50 pot / $25 venue) and a split of 70/20/10.

Team Structure: The fee covers a team of 7 players which allows for 2 alternates. All teammates do not need to be present at time of match. However, all members (summoner) names must be provided at time of registration. Registered players may only play on a single team. This might increase to 8 to match Riot’s “ranked” team setup.

Media: The tournament will be live cast with the Winner’s Bracket Finals and Grand Finals cast by Raise Your Weapon Media. VODs, Photos, Interviews, and Recaps will be available.

General Rules

 

  1. All matches will be played on Summoner’s Rift
  2. The Live Realm (NA Server) will be used for all Matches.
  3. All Matches will be a Best of 1 Game except for the Winner’s Bracket Final and Grand Finals.
  4. This is a Double Elimination Bracket.
  5. In the event the Championship match is between 2 teams that have faced off previously, the match will be played under “Winner’s Advantage” rules (extended best of 3 match). The loser bracket winner must win 2 games before the Winner’s bracket team wins 1.
  6. All matches will be created using custom feature. Matches will use Tournament Draft Setting. Team Captains will flip a coin to determine first pick. In a situation where teams will play more than 1 game, the losing team will have the option to be first pick.
  7. Match start times and brackets will be available throughout the tournament.
  8. The tournament Admin will enforce forfeits (team does not show) as necessary.
  9. Teams may delay the Match between Games pending approval of tournament referee/admin.
  10. There will be tournament referee/admins on site to ensure fairness and enforcement of rules or disputes.2. The Live Realm (NA Server) will be used for all Matches.
  11. In the event of 8 teams, the tournament will change to pool play format.  2 pools of 4 teams will play in a BO1 Round Robin with the top 2 teams from each pool moving on to play in BO3 bracket finals.
